In 2008 my best friend and I decided to take a trip to London and Paris. While in London we were able to stay for free at her great aunts flat in Acton Town. Not having to pay for accommodations and having no bills or debt at that point in life, we were able to have a dream shopping spree adventure in London and Paris! We look back on it now 8 years later and still cherish that trip and everything we came home with! No regrets!
I order to go I needed to apply for my first passport. When it arrived in the mail I got butterflies in my stomach! All that was left to do was wait for the day. May rolled around and it was time to fly, that day, the day when I received my first stamp in my passport was a very important day in my life. I was instantly hooked, I wanted more and I was determined to see as much as I could. That’s when I first fell head over heels in love with traveling. It lit a fire inside of me, a fire that I don’t think will ever go out. I'm fully aware that I’m not as well traveled as others but it is my passion and I will never stop.
Don’t get me wrong, every day isn’t perfect. Some days it pours, some days are perfect and some days it’s so hot that you can’t stand to breathe. Other days rip you apart and some days give you an incredible high. The thing to remember is; there is good and bad in everything but its how you choose to embrace those days and grow from them that’s really important. I think it is safe to say I’ve learned more from my experiences and the people I’ve met throughout my journeys than I ever have from any book.
